Managed Service Providers are Compared

According to a Current Analysis report featuring competitive analysis of global service provider managed IP solutions for Europe-based multinational companies, offerings from BT and Orange Business Services lead the pack.

However, the market study also shows solutions from T-Systems, AT&T and Verizon Business are very close behind, and that all are quickly rising to meet increased demand for outsourced network-based IT services.

The study explores the market dynamics between global service providers and system integrators in a converged communications and IT market and the growing importance of who makes the best choices when it comes to systems integrator (SI) partnerships.

Managed IP Service solutions are made up of a range of enterprise services provided by network operators, managed service providers and system integrators that manage network-centric applications that run over enterprise customer networks. These solutions are emerging to address the requirements of multinational corporations for more outsourcing of communications and IT services as corporations reduce their IT staff levels and outsource more and more of their network and IT operations.

This redefining of what is strategic and should be kept in-house, and what is merely a utility function -- that can be handed over to external service providers -- is accompanied by an increased focus on end-to-end application performance management between any fixed or mobile terminal and any application server.

"IP convergence has blurred the lines of engagement between network-centric telcos and application-centric system integrators," said Sandra O'Boyle, Current Analysis Research Director, Business Telecom Services Europe.

"Outsourcing deals involving the management of a global IP network that runs business critical applications require telcos to have further skills in both IT and networking. The carrier-SI engagement model will become increasingly important and carriers and SIs need to know when and how to partner effectively."

The Current Analysis report includes a comparison of the strengths and weaknesses of current Managed IP Service solutions from BT, Orange Business Services, T-Systems, AT&T and Verizon Business. In addition, the report includes an assessment of the relative strengths of carriers versus SIs when delivering various managed solutions.

AI-Driven Data Center Liquid Cooling Demand

The rapid evolution of artificial intelligence (AI) and hyperscale cloud computing is fundamentally reshaping data center infrastructure, and liquid cooling is emerging as an indispensable solution. As traditional air-cooled systems reach their physical limits, the IT industry is under pressure to adopt more efficient thermal management strategies to meet growing demands, while complying with stringent environmental regulations. Liquid Cooling Market Development The latest ABI Research analysis reveals momentum in liquid cooling adoption. Installations are forecast to quadruple between 2023 and 2030. The market will reach $3.7 billion in value by the decade's end, with a CAGR of 22 percent. The urgency behind these numbers becomes clear when examining energy metrics: liquid cooling systems demonstrate 40 percent greater energy efficiency when compared to conventional air-cooling architectures, while simultaneously enabling ~300-500 percent increases in computational density per rac...
