Fixed Wireless Telemetry Forecast

New wireless revenue, without broadband -- The market potential for fixed wireless telemetry applications is larger than the wireless voice market, but the rate of adoption is much slower, reports In-Stat. The cost of service and telemetry modules that are used in applications such as utility meters, vending machines, and temporary point-of-sale terminals remain barriers to adoption, although the situation is improving, the high-tech market research firm says.

"The prospects for safety and security applications are the brightest," says Bill Hughes, In-Stat analyst. "Heightened awareness of the need for security, money from The Department of Homeland Security, and the perception of wireless technology as a good way to increase reliability will have this segment growing faster than historical rates."

In-Stat found the following:

- Each vertical has unique barriers to adoption that cannot be overcome unless the solution provider takes the time and effort to understand the verticals needs and issues.
- The vast majority of telemetry applications have no need for broadband wireless technologies.
- Rate plans are decreasing in price and increasing in flexibility.

Embodied AI Robots: Market Upside Trends

Embodied AI is shifting industrial robotics from precise to perceptive — from rigid automation to adaptive execution in messy, variable production environments. For manufacturers and logistics providers, this isn't just a technology upgrade; it's a structural change in how work gets organized and business value gets created. Industrial robots have long excelled in static workflows: automotive assembly, fixed production lines, repetitive tasks. Where variability or human interaction arose, they stalled or required prohibitive engineering. Embodied AI Market Development Embodied AI changes this by closing the "sim-to-real" gap. According to the latest worldwide market study by ABI Research, AI-augmented robots have reached genuine adaptive automation with tangible ROI for early adopters. The shift rests on robust algorithms — particularly Dynamic Policy Adjustment and robotics foundation models — that learn and adapt in real time rather than following hard-coded rules. ...
